Coming of Age

23/09 BLOG - Rockstar Roadie (Episode 7) rockstar roadie

"Tomorrow we have a day off in Paris. We're leaving for Lausanne around midnight. I have a question for the people from Paris though." (click here to read more)

"Since Paris is not too far from Belgium we've all been here before but we still feel like we should get to know more cool places in this beautiful city. So we'll be looking for great places to lunch (I think we'll skip breakfast), hang out, buy cd's, have diner, have a walk, read a newspaper, meet interesting people, work on our computers and email our mothers back home,... not the touristy stuff, but the real spots. Suggestions anybody?"

Rockstar Roadie
PS: Soundcheck just started. People that are coming to the show tonight are in for a treat. It sounds great.

I've been to Paris 5 weeks ago and I saw lots of cool places and you gotta go to Montmartre and sit on the stairs in front of la église de sacre coeur, the best time is on sunset, because you have a fantastic look over Paris and make sure to have a red wine with you and listen to the street-musicians who play there. Check out if they know their lyrics for 'wonderwall' by now :-D
During daytime when the sun is shining and you just want to hang out you should go to the park behind the Louvre and sit on those special chairs (you will know what I mean when you get there!!) around the fountain and have a look over place de la concorde right onto the arc de triumphe. Have fun and I wish I could go back there pretty soon 'cause it's one of the most beautiful and artsy cities in the world!!

Can't wait to see the show tonight!!!

Jardin des Tuileries, Jardin de Luxembourg and Place des Vosges are nice places to hang out (and you have WIFI connection in the Parisian parks, so you guys can email your mams).
You can have drinks before diner at "Bar du Marché", which is a nice bar situated in the 6th arrondissement.
A nice place to have dinner is "l'Emile" or "Chez Janou".
Anyhow, wherever you end up, you'll see that Paris is a fantastic city!!!

Greetz from a Belgian in Paris!

Ayo Jonathan! Just some places for u and your band in PARIS:
A walk through CHAMPS ELYSEES; also the place to think for princess diana - it's the place with the flame (near a bridge / Seine) maybe you'got some time to make a trip with a 'boat`on the Seine. Not to forget the sacre coeur - the best place to look over PARIS at sunset - have u ever been on the "Eiffelturm" at night with many lights - your hearts will be lighting too. Centre Georges Pompidou a building made out of glass - u see the city of paris. I think I must stop - you need more time, dont u? Have a nice time - and please eat some baguette for me! thanks - smile - Pocahontas
See u in dornbirn

A nice place to go, and not so much touristic.... a street i just adore: rue de Montorgeuil. A really nice place with restaurants and shops, near to les halles and "le Centre Georges Pompidou". just check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rue_Montorgueil.

Good, so hard to go to sleep!
You were all so GREAT tonight!

Constance :)

There is this square/stairs in Paris, very close to the Sacre-Coueur. It is so beautiful since it's so close to tourist hot-spots but is soo nice and quiet. You should head for Rue Chevalier de La Barre
75018 Paris, France. Hard to find, but totally worth it!

Have fun in Paris!!

Soo great your concert this night. incroyable, quelle voix! We loved it!!

My insider-tips for tomorrow: Take an ice-cream from 'Maison Berthillon' at Île Saint Louis, it is the best best best ever. then take a walk at the Seine. Later maybe a coffee or lunch at the Café 'Marly' next to the Louvre.

Bisous et merci pour ce soir!!

I think that there is not much tourists by strolling in Belleville but it is better to walk with a group! Otherwise the canal st martin is one of most beautiful place of Paris, and it is quiet! And the "Commerce" district which is not very far from Le Champs de Mars but less tourist also.I think it's closed now but Le jardin des plantes is also a good place to have a walk in a quiet and nice place but most of the students in Paris go in the district of Nation to take a drink!
Good luck!
